:(...today i gave my first exam and i failed....

Don't worry if you failed - just chalk it up to experience
and try again; you'll be in good company! I too failed my
first exam before I got the hang of it.
Also, don't compare yourself with more experienced
programmers (and don't believe all the tall tales they
like to tell either ;o)

Now that you have seen a real exam you know better what to
expect next time. Try all the free demo's you can find on
the net and (if you can afford it) get the transcender
practice exam.

In addition to the actual exam knowledge you need to be
aware of good exam technique for this kind of exams. Even
if you don't know all the answers you can maximise your
chance of getting it right anyway. It may help if you
invest in a book that specifically prepares you for 70-
306, for example

MCAD/MCSD Training Guide (70-306): Developing and
Implementing Windows-Based Applications with Visual
Basic.NET and Visual Studio.NET
by Mike Gunderloy

Do read the advice in the book on exam technique and don't
give up.

Best of luck next time!
