stick with it
hey rgosling my advice is to stick with the academy books. i too graduated from the cisco academy in oct 02.all i did was studied my classroom material because the focus for the academy was to help you pass the ccna, nothing more. good luck to you and i'm sure you'll be posting a 900+ score next time

Don't be discourage, rgosling. You still have time to register until 30th September. I was also an academy student. I can also ensure that the course really support CCNA exam. I don't know. You might be excited in the exam room. BTW, do u try to read Odom's book? It's a good book too.
If you have Sybex Todd Lammle's book + Cisco Odom Wendell's book, then you will achieve 900+ for sure...
All the best to you, rgosling...

Re: i failed
Hi Rgosling,
The first time I had 99% and 100% of the score in Trancenders and Boson in question range that I saw the first time.
But I scored 822 points. The second time I had 70% and no higher than 85 % of the score in boson/Trancenders about question I saw earlier before, but I pass with 949 points.
The clue is: only the cisco answer(s) is(are) the right answer(s).
A question like this, what is the layer in the DoD model that represents the Network-Layer in the OSI-Model?
My answer was the first time Internetwork Layer (see Inside TCP/IP 3editon. page 60, by Karanjit S. Siyan PH.D)
But the answer should be Internet Layer!
Internetwork Layer is also good but the only cisco answer is Internet Layer.
So, Always always go for the Cisco Answer!!!!
Next time better luck!!
Aksel.
