IP spoofing?
Cross post from another forum...
I was doing some reading on the net yesterday about IP spoofing and the author of an article mentioned two utilities...Genius2 and DC IS (DCIS, DC-IS?). I believe these are Win32 based tools. Anyway, I did some Yahoo and Google searches and am not finding these tools. I was interested in checking them out. Is anyone familiar with them or any other Win32 based tools?
Thanks!

Meijin,
Are you looking for IP spoofing utilites or IP obscuring utilities?
IE do you want to mimic my IP or do you want it so what when you post here no one can trace your IP back to you (It gets routed to a random server somewhere)?
Just trying to figure out what exactly you wanted.
As for the utilites you listed I remember using something called Genius2 before but it was more of a general internet utility suite, I don't remember it doing any sort of spoofing or anything like that.

Well, both is of interest to me...but the spoofing part is the area of interest at the moment. I am getting a really nice lab of wired and wireless equipment put together at work and want to start working through some "labs" in an effort to gets some "hands on" work in regards to the CWSP.
Thanks!

When I get home tonight I'll check and see what I have archived for you. I think most of what for spoofing is *nix based, but I might be able to dig up a win32 app.

My last post for the evening...
This suite of tools may also be on-topic:
http://tigertools.net/tt2k.htm
The suite costs US$69.00. Less if you buy one of the Hack Attack books. I bought one of the books and the suite and I was happy with what they offered. Found it informative and educational.
Regards,
