TRUE STORY - I get a call at work from this older lady that works for a company that we help. She tells me she can't get into her email. So I ask her what are you using to check your email, she told me her computer. I had to put her on hold while I laughed and stopped myself from saying anything wise.

Try working for Remington in the 80's and telling them that computers are the future, not stand-alone word processors!!!
On the bright side, we sold parts that allowed folks to repair obsolete adding machines!
Forget computers, the future lies in building a typewriter that can top the IBM Selectric!
Ahh, the memories!

I remember getting a "my foot pedal doesn't work" call about 5 years ago. The guy was using MS-DOS 5 and was surpised that the foot pedal didn't accelerate the processing of data.
I've also had a few broken cup holders, numerous "I can't check my..." when the power was out calls and the complimentary "where is the any key" calls.
A while back, the guy across the aisle from me had a call where a person didn't have power in his building so he connected an extension cord from the building next to his to his powerless building, in middle of a raging thunderstorm and was calling us to find out what to do. Unfortunately, the hookup started an electircal fire and he was calling us to find out what to do as he was worried about the computer, since the computer belonged to my company.
Cheers,
TB
