how much would you pay?
My question is how much would YOU pay for something like this. Please see this URL:
http://www.wireless-nets.com/ to see what the market value of CWNA CBTs are currently. CWSP would undoubtedly cost more due to the depth of content and development time of the CBT itself. Would you be willing to pay $1000 for it?

Shoot...for a grand, Jim Grier better come to my house and get busy on some laundry!
Truthfully, I would have a hard time with that when compared to other CBT courses.
I'd just like to see a test engine for the CWSP. With a schedule like mine, purchasing a 60 day block of time on the website may mean I will be back for a second one. I just can't guarantee I'll have the time to devote all at once. But, I will take what I can get.

market value of CWSP
I did go to that site, and I think $749 is a reasonable price to pay for the CWNA for the CBT CD's. But I really think those would be good for someone "new" and with out much experience. from what I been reading, going over the CWNA book a few times, reading Jim's book and doing a few practice tests should prepare to pass the test.
NOW on the other hand, you have said many times studying the CWSP training book is not enough to pass the test !!! you said going to the $2000 class (which you don't set the price or make money from) and studying the book is really what you need to tackle the test.
If I had a choice to take a class or do a very well written CBT, I go CBT all the way !! I have been in classes were all the teacher did was read from the book, hell I can do that !! I also been in a class were the teacher couldn't speak english at all !! and 95% of the questions asked she would say "I don't know" and that was it !!
and in a class if you are a "slower" learner and get behind, it's really hard to get it all in !! Also in a class you really have 2 or 3 weeks worth of stuff crammed into 1 week most of the time, then after the class is over, how much do you really remember ???
But CBT IF THEY ARE DONE RIGHT !! are great, it sould have working SIM's on how to set things up, (even ciso has a router sim) it should have videos and interactive stuff in it. and the greatest thing about CBT you can do them over and over and over again untill your head explodes !! In a class I will set things up once or twice but will I really understand it?? on a CBT wireless sim if I need to do it 35 times to fully understand it I can !!!!
So, how much would I pay, I think $1000 - $1200 would be fair and I do think people would buy it because of the "hands on" you will need for this test !!! it's better than the $2000 class !! I remember Novel Netware CNE CBT CD's were like $1700, don't remember exact price, but that was for ALL CNE and those were the BEST CBT I have ever seen !!!
Thanks for letting me add my feedback, it is very rare you can talk to a "big cheese" hehe I hope to join your wireless family soon !!!
Tim

laundry
I guess I'd have to agree with the laundry...I have 4 kids - you get the picture. ;-)
Tim makes GREAT points for sure. I'm a big fan of CBT myself, and I've experienced the same problems in classes. I agree that the deciding factor is the quality of CBT. Meijin makes good points, but $1k for quality CBT is cheap - check out LearnKey (my personal favorite across the board for cisco CBTs).
CWSP is a little different due to the extreme amount of hands on with different vendors' gear. Our instructors are first rate and dedicated to the student's learning experience, but Tim is right about only being able to take in so much in a single week. I've taught the CWSP class 5 times personally, and I've seen students exhausted at the end of the week each time due to the length and depth of the labs. Students reach a point of mental saturation after so much hands-on.
