Migration

Has anyone ever migrated a network from Novell to Win 2K? I already have AD set up, I just need to change out the login and move over the file system structure. Any tips or advise are greatly appreciated.

Have you tested GW services for Netware

I have a client that did it, they had it running for around 2 months, until everyone moved their files and got used to it.
Then they switch to win2k for all their file and print services.

We are also gradually migrating from mixed NW and NT environment to be solely Win2K.

A note with regards to Netware Gateway supplied with Windows 2000 Server pre SP4, the gateway gives some strange results when passing print jobs across to Netware print servers. There is an update available that you will need to contact MS Support to recieve.

Also similar problems with Netware client for Pro, again update is only available directly from MS Support.

Both of these updates are included with SP4 as far as I know.

I have it running in a mixed environment as of now. Its just the main file and print server needs to be moved over.
