Announcing: 2004 MCP Exam Retirements

Dear Microsoft Certified Professional,

This e-mail is to inform you of Microsoft® Certified Professional (MCP)
exams that will be retired one year from now in June 2004. We are providing
you with this early information so that you can manage your training
schedules and certification plans.

Microsoft is committed to ensuring that MCP certifications are at all times
relevant, valued, and respected credentials that identify skilled and
experienced information technology (IT) professionals and developers. The
MCP program continually monitors current industry trends and makes
appropriate changes to keep Microsoft certification requirements in line
with technology advancements.

As part of this process, Microsoft develops new exams and discontinues
others to ensure that all exams reflect current job roles. Announcements of
exams that are scheduled for discontinuation will be made once a year in
June to MCPs who subscribe to the MCP NewsFlash e-mail. This information
will also be available on the Microsoft Training & Certification Web site:

http://www.microsoft.com/traincert/...mstoretire.asp.
