How easy is it to Build a Home Domain?

Hi all,

I'm set to take 70-210 in about 3 wks, and would like to get some practical experience using "RIS". Are there any good guides concerned with setting up a home Domain? and covering issues with ISP's.
I'm on Cable, and using Win2000.

Thanks

This shouldn't be a problem. You obviously need to have W2K Server in order to make a domain controller.

I use 3 computers. One as my domain controller and the other two I setup different operating systems on and pratice upgrading and installing from different methods.

As for the cable modem. I would suggest getting a hub (for basics), but this will create multiple IP address through your Cable company, thus they would charge you more.

I use a router to support my LAN, while using only one external IP to access the internet on all of my computers.
