I have two computers which are linked together. One is "Windows 2000 professional" and another is "Windows ME". It is possible to access the internet through a single connection of "Windows 2000 professional" computer and go to internet using "Windows ME" computer? if so what do I need to do?
any help appreciated

Yes, you can do this with your current setup. Your setup on the Win2k box is going to be dependent upon whether you have a dial-up connection you are going to share or a broadband connection.

It would be easier to just get a router. This way if you are running a cable modem, the cable company won't charge you for 2 IPs being used. You will have a local default gateway (prbably, 192.168.254.254) and DHCP your two PCs. The router will then use your one leased IP for both or how evermany ports you have.

Thank you I already did by reading the article below

ICS works fine, but you can find some inconsistences when you use DSL and ICS togheter. The clients on your network maybe can't browse all pages. This can be solved using RASPPOE
