sharing folder or encryption question

Hello,

I have 2 win2k systems. One is brand new the other is a few years older. I
have to reinstall the older system due to the operating system being
"corrupted" according to the repair option on the cd(Using the recovery) I
am prepping for the 70-210 exam and trying to do exercises involving file
encryption and file sharing. Both systems aren't going to the applets upon
right clicking the designated folder. I was able to share at one point but
this is just really baffling me. I am logged under administrator on both.
The rest of the "right click" options work such as zip folder, file, delete,
cut, copy and paste. Only in the sharing or properties aspect is it not
working i.e. no applet appears when clicking these 2 of the menu choices.
Is there something I may have inadvertently turned off? I have gone to
knowledge base but not found what I am looking for.

Re: sharing folder or encryption question

Are you trying to say that when you right click a file or folder, there are
no properties or sharing selections? Do you run ZoneAlarm?

Re: sharing folder or encryption question

Thats exactly what I am saying, I did run zonealarm on this system but I
have no zonealarm on the other computer...so this has truely baffled the
hell out of me. I have no clue as to even find any knowledge based for
this....so anything that can be suggested. Thanks!
