70-270 exam

HI, I have taken the 5 core exams for the MCSE2000 track. Once I have
completed it and then taken 292 and 296 will there be any mileage in taking
270?

TRANSLATION: If you have taken the 70-240 upgrade exam, did you take 70-210
as well?

There is no real point in taking it and you will be violating certification
policy if you do.

The MCSA and MCSE on Windows 2003 includes the client exam 70-270 so they
may consider it unnecessary (which it is) to take the client exam again
after upgrading even if you used the 70-210 initially. Your best bet is to
contact your RSEC for clarification!

Q. What is the new exam-retake policy?

A. If you do not pass an exam the first time, you may retake it at
any time. If you do not achieve a passing score a second time, you must wait
at least 14 days to retake the exam a third time. A 14-day waiting period
will be imposed for all subsequent exam retakes. If you have passed an exam,
you cannot take it again. Beta exams may be taken only once.

You were not permitted to take the standalone four core after passing 70-240
(I did). However you could take all four prior to 240 and fail one or more
intentionally and still qualify (I did). I will probably do the same for
MCSE on Windows 2003 for the benefit of my clients.
