cert help
I am trying to decide whether to take 5.5 or 2000. We use 5.5 at work and have no plans to upgrade. I have done 210 and 215 and am working on 218 now. Once I have got my mcsa i will not go on because all i really want to be is a systems administrator. I am not interested in design or setup. I know that the 5.5 exam retires in June so that is why I am trying to decide what to do. Any input would be appreciated

I'd go for 2000. Let me qualify that:
a) You already have 5.5 in your environment, even if you dont work directly with it, you have the opportunity to learn a lot of things about it.
b) Your study for 2000 will include a lot of insight into 5.5. I actually read the MOC for 5.5 before starting on 2000, but the book I am working with now frequently compares the features and functions of both.
c) While your company has no plans for upgrade, that can change. The true power of Exchange 2000 is its integration with AD, it packs a lot of features that reduce or consolidate administrative overhead.
d) You should consider your career and education beyond your current employer.
Best of luck!!! Keep up the effort!
