More data please. What O/S? I am assuming the Admin password is lost. It is documented that an XP install CD will pry open a W2K box due to registry changes.

I have found a utility based around a bootable linux kernal that will fit onto
a floppy disk or CDrom.
It will allow you to reset the administrator password to blank on NT4 windows 2000 pro and server and Xp up to service pack 1.
It will walk you through the proccess step by step. It ussually takes less than a minute.
It is free also
I have it at work and when I get back there tomorrow afternoon and I will post a link to it.

There are many tools, but you will need physical access to the computer. Some require that you have CD for the recovery process, some don't.

sorry
Unzip this file to a floppy or a cd and boot to it and follow the instructions.
BTW the best results are to reset the password to nothing.www.chodan.com/passcrack.zip
