yeah finalllY
Sup ppl,
just wanted to let yass know that I sat my CCNA exam today and passed but not happy with the score.
I got 900/1000 thats kindda crap but a pass is a pass
It wasn't so difficult but then again I did my studies seriously.
It was 90 minutes with 60 questions.
About 6-8 sims.
Here is what i used:
1)CCNA semester 1-4 (about a year ago)
2)Introduction to Cisco Router Configuration by Laura Chappell --CISCO Press.
3)CCNA Study Guide by Mark Buchmann --OSBORNE-Syngress cert press (excellent book).
4)Test your self CCNA by Mark Buchmann --OSBORNE-Syngress cert press
And used this forum wisely
aiight.. good luck to any of youss.
Later.

Congrats on your pass, I hope that I can pass with a 900, I won't mind that type of disappointment..

Congratulations
The only time the score is important is when it is higher than the pass mark, besides that it is a pass so don't worry about that.
What next? CCNP or another area of certification?

cheers ppl
Thanks guys,
im dissapointed coz i studied pretty hard for it and wanted to score least 95% but what the heck
I have MCSA at the back of my head.. so might have a peek and cc what that is like but I prefer Networking over MS any day.
So probably will go for CCNP and follow the Cisco track. Too many MCSE' out there.
Thanks again guys for all your support and help.
have a good day.
Cyaz

If all goes well in a few weeks with the CCNA then I will go for the CCNP, although I will have to buy more hardware than I currently have
Congratulations once again.

im lost
Yo SL,
wch you gonna go for after CCNA. There are quite a few (CCNP, CCIP, CCSP,CCDP).
I'm kindda lost .. dunno what to choose.
May be i should do the papers that are common to all/ most of them and then later on decide!!!
CCNP is getting common, might go for CCIP.
Cant do CCDP---need CCDA for that.
CCSP is good too -- security.
What do you guys think!!
Any comment is wellcome.
Cheers.

I personally would go for the CCNP and then either complete your MCSA or MCSE. Once you complete all those and your degree and have a few years experience under you, then you should be able to do very well for yourself.

Good Imran4sin,
Great job!! Congratulations!!
I also passed CCNA today.
I got 911 <--- unluckly sign
I have smiliary feeling like you.
Here are what i used:
1)CCNA Study Guide by Todd Lammle -- SYBEX
2)CCNA E-book -- Boson
3)Cisco Router 1600 series
4)Cisco Switch 1900 series
5)Boson's practical tests
With my limited knowledge, I started my study on Mar 8th... and.. got it on Mar 28
Practical experience/ exercise with Cisco's equipment are much importance. I lack of WAN's experience. Then, I lost much on that part in the exam. Thus, Experience is $$ than the rest.
