Router recommendation?
Hi group,
I've been thinking about getting a low-end CISCO router ( probably off
e-bay) to practise for the CCNA, aside from the sims... which model would
you recommend? I have an ADSL internet connection.
Thanks as usual,
cheers

Re: Router recommendation?
This should do the trick for you:
Two Cisco 2501 routers, 16MB Dram/16MB Flash
All routers with 12.x Enterprise Plus IOS
Power Cables for all Devices
One DTE/DCE DB60 serial cross-over cables
Two Ethernet transceivers
DOC CD and console cable kit

From the looks of things the series that you are after is the Cisco 800
Series. These cater for ADSL needs, however if you are wanting to study for
CCNA I would suggets you get another router as well. Good one that is not to
uch $$$ is the Cisco 2620 or something similar, e-bay would be your best bet
for these.

Re: Router recommendation?
I have a Cisco Catalyst 3200 switch a WS-X3011 blade which is 2500
series 2503 Cisco router. I really like it, the switch has 6
changeable cards. This is really nice.
