Trained Security Professional/Experts

Folks:

I work in a windows network environment and I already have the MCSE
certification.

I am interested in becoming a Trained Security Professional/Experts so that
I can better secure my (windows) network.
I am not sure which security certification to pursue. Recently I have been
reading about SANS and GIAC.

I am looking for information/advice on the type of security certification
that an MCSE person should pursue ?

Thanks,
John.

John

Take a look at Comptia Security+ for an intro level, and I would also
recommend looking at the SCP Certification www.securitycertified.net, you
could then look at something like the CISSP cert as well.

Hope this helps

Re: Trained Security Professional/Experts

Unfortunately, most security certs require a few years practicing
security and a college degree (which can be supplemented for
experience) to qualify for the exam. I would say a forensics class or
a Hack & Defend cert. That would probably be the best place to
start. These are a few classes I've attended in the past, just options
