what cet is this.

i am about to embark on a mcp course, but to be quite honest i don knw which
one it is I am getting it through a government scheme, from the following
does anybody know what course it relates to? help please.. I really want to
know if at the end of the day it is going to be worth while. what exam
numbers does this relate to. BTW it is a 12 week course, 5 days in centre

install and configure Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional on stand-alone and
client computers that are part of workgroup or domain. On completion
students will be eligible to sit two certification exams which count towards
MCP and MCSE.
Course Content

· Overview of Windows 2000 and networking
· Administering a Windows 2000 based network
· Security features of a Windows 2000 network
· Networking products (i.e. TCP/IP)
· Network Infrastructure
· Configuration and management of Windows 2000 network
· Windows 2000 maintenance
· Providing network access to printing
· Monitoring and Optimising windows Performance
· Configurating Windows 2000 for mobile and remote computing"

It looks like this will prepare you for the 70-210 exam "Installing and
Configuring Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional". If you successfully pass
the exam you will have earned the MCP certification which does count towards
earning an MCSE as well as some other certs. Microsoft's website
http://microsoft.com/mcp list all their certs and requirements to attain
them. I'm not sure about a second exam though. Some of the material
covered is pre-requisite information for other exams, but won't give you
enough information to pass them alone.

By the sound of it the course will also cover 70-215.
