just start_____Need definately advace

I am trying to pursue the MCSE certification, but not sure which I must
start first.

Don't have any certification at all not even A+.
someone told me I should start with A+, but someone told me starting with
mcse right away.
Don't have knowledge about network yet.
So need definitely bunch of advice.

Also in order to achieve better career, do I need to have diploma relate to
IT field or mcse certification will do it?

Start at the beginning with a workstation OS (Windows 2000 or Windows
XP).

If you don't have any IT experience, then starting with the A+ and
Network+ or Server+ is a good idea. The MCSE track assumes a fair
amount of knowledge about working with computers in general. You need
to know how to add drives, configure the BIOS, and do other basic
tasks. The A+ will get you started here. The Network+ will give you
an overview of how networks work.

Take a look at this site:

http://www.selfstudycerts.com/10step/

This site shows you how to start from zero and climb through a
succession of certifcations including A+, Network+, MCP, MCSA, and
MCSE.

For more information on the MCSE specifically, take a look at:

My feeling is that a diploma doesn't count for much in IT. It shows
you can learn, but the material being taught at the universities tends
to be behind the industry. Technical certifications are usually more
up to date.

Good luck with your efforts!

Re: just start_____Need definately advace

I would look into getting a degree before the certification. That is
unless you need to start working like yesterday. I think that the
future of IT will be prerequisites like experience, certification, and
degree to even get an interview. The days of easy street ,MCSE 0
experience, and a great job are gone. Do yourself a favor and get a
college education first.

Re: just start_____Need definately advace

The purpose of certification is not to replace experience. It's just a
measurement of your knowledge.
As you don't have experience is IT you need a diploma. We you'll be working
in the field and you'll have several years of experience, you'll be able to
take certifications to show your supervisor you are still up-to-date and
valuable.

No experience or previous knowledge or qualifications are needed to obtain an
MCSE. All you need is an interest in computing and a lot of hard work.
