640-607 has been changed??
I heard that Cisco had changed 640-607 exam since February,2003. The nubmer of questions changed up to 70,and more labs are available in exam.Is it true? I didn't find out any information about changes on www.cisco.com - official site of Cisco.

I'd be surprised if the they changed it. I've heard for the past two years or so that they were going to raise the pass score to 899!! I did the Cisco Academy on the 640-606 exam and I kept putting it off. So when they changed to 640-607 I was very p***ed off. But I passed first time, 936.......

I took the test today (2/17/03)(788). Some of the questions were very confusing. The Sybex book SUCKS. The Boson Practice tests SUCKED but was ok on the test Sims. The material covered in the book wasn't adequate for the test. I've bought a Cisco book now and I've found alot of what was on my test in this book. I got more out of the online Study guides than I did the Sybex book or the practice tests. The Boson Router Sims were pretty good but nothing like the test. The test was actually harder than I thought it would be. What really blew me away was the sims test questions. Although I believe that I got them right (??), I still have questions. BTW, I'm a network specialist with 10 years under my belt, so it's not a question of if I knew what they were asking. As far as the IOS stuff that was easy, as was the networking portion of the test. Oh well back to the books. Next time I will be over prepared.

Unlucky Donroper, it is a tough call the CCNA. I'm doing my MCSE and I found one exam for CCNA harder than the MIcrosoft ones I've done so far. A lot of people slip up on the sims bit by abbrevaiting commands. They are not supported so it's worth typing the complete line. I'm surprised you are only just doing your CCNA after ten years in the field. I'd of been banging out the certs with that amount of experience.

There was no reason to get the certs earlier. Now the market around here has dried up unless you have them. I have talked to recruiters and others in the business who demand that all applicants have CCNA, MCSE, A+, etc, just to get an interview. I also have an AAS, BS, and MBA. I earned the MBA came three years ago because it was a job requirement to move up. (That company got out of manufacturing in the US and moved it's operations to Mexico.)I have A+ and Network+ Certs. I'm also an adjunct Professor of Computer Science at a local college. Seems like it would be enough to at least get an interview at a nice respectable company doesn't it? I've taken my resume to professional resume writers and had it redone. Still nothing. BTW My ten years are in PC's, Windows NT and 2000 (server and Workstation), XP, AS/400 ops, Novell (to 6.0), Cisco, Nortel and 3Com. I program in VB although I don't like coding. So tell me what's wrong with this picture? Before 2001 I could pick where I wanted to work. Now if I get an interview it's a miracle. In one interview the VP said that I was exactly what they were looking for. Then we discussed my expected salary (his idea not mine), which is way below what someone in our field could expect to make , and he balked. Seems they wanted someone to do all the work he required for $35,000 per. And it was not negotiable. He also wanted me to get my CCNA and MCSE on my nickel. Put the two together and I couldn't afford it. So it off to the certs.
