i buy a new dvd ram on it was givin me problem to dectect so i go in to the regeditr on delete the lowerfilter on upperfilter in 1 of the hkey local control some thing like that know it dectect on stuff,but its not workin.also when i put cd in the drive its not workin its like its not there . when i check the device removable storage its blank so i check the device manager on under the dvdram its there but not working how can i fix this problem am this close to kick it.

ps; my os his xp pro

Device manager shows that all hardware and drivers are functioning properly. but its not working
