Anyone know how to remove the Hard drive out of a Toshiba Satellite 1605CDS ?
I admit i don't work too often on laptops, some of them you can pry the Keyboard away and there is the Harddrive. On others it's as simple as pulling the Battery-pack.
But this one gives me Headaches.
I have been prying on the darn thing left and right, it will not give...Website and tech support are not very helpful.

Any Ideas?

In many toshibas it is behind the battery with a little L shaped plate holding it in with very tiny screws. You remove the plate and it slides forward into the battery compartment. You can't see it unless you look carefully.

Asked a friend. What a puzzle and terrible fun. Go here my friend they sell drives and memory for it and give instructions.

Good luck.

I got it...went to a Friend, who works on Laptops often than i do.

There is a Cover just below the Display, it needs to be pried open.
And you need to use brutal force. Just when you think, it will break now, it pops off.
Than remove the tiny little screws, that keep the keyboard in place.
Then, after removing additional screws on the bottom of the Unit, ( more Keyboard screws) and lifting the Keyboard out of its place, the darn Hard drive is exposed.
Thanks for the Help, azi.
