| Since Hardware and gaming come always very close,(there wouldn't be fast Hardware without gaming)let me ask you this:
Anyone playing this cool Game?
And if, should we create a "Examnotes-Game", and shoot each other to a bloody pulp?
I am playing sometimes late at night the newest release"Desert Combat", where all the Planes, Tanks and weapons are at today's standard.

| Nope, but I often play NFS HP2 and UT2K3. | |

| My game would be Half-Life, but If I could get a copy of 1942 might look into it. | |

| We could create a Game, lets call it "Examnotes-Lan" or whatever, password protect it so it's only for Examnotes members, then have at it.
We just need to find a Game that everyone has.
I got:
NFS HP2
UT2000
Unreal II
UT2K3
Battlefield 1942
Racing against you Guys would only satisfy me somewhat...dropping a Bomb into your Lap, now we're talking...

Unreal II
I play this one too, but it sucks in comparison with 2K3.
Btw..just digged out my Nascar Racing Wheel....Someone will eat my dust!

| BF1942 is best game and even better with Desert Combat. I will play you a game when my computer gets shipped to me with all my CDs. Love flying the helo's in desert combat, nothing like watching people jump out of tanks when they see your helo flying over.
Ohhhh, I miss the good ol' days. I need my computer now!!! This old cyrix 150 just doesn't cut it.

| I used to play Doom II via the internet via modem via 28.8/33.6 back in HS.
How much does the game cost?
I might be interested. | |
| Deja-vue 2003-08-05, 11:41 pm |
| The Game costs between $32.00 and $44.99, depends on where you are buying it. ( i'd go with amazon.com).
Then, you could choose "The Road to Rome" add-on pack, another $16.00 to $19.99.
The recent Release "Desert Combat" is really awesome, download for free right here
Careful, it is about 350 megs to download.
The Game has hefty requirements, my Neighbors Athlon 800, 512 megs of Ram and Geforce 440 is bearly running it.
Better with a XP 2000+ and a good Videocard.
There is thousands of Players online playing this awesome Game every day.
Get the Game, all the Patches ( 1.4 right now), download Desert Combat and then....Challenge me!

| I think I'd have to invest in some upgrades. I have P4 1.6Ghz and 384mb RAM. | |

Nahh, you do not need to do that so long you have a decent video card. I ran it on a 500mhz with only 256MB of ram. I did have to upgrade my video card to a geforce3(yes I am a cheap bastard) but it ran decently on that so I'm sure it would run just fine on your system.
Try amazon.com to buy it usally they have good deals on used software and underware.

Your System looks good, but the Videocard isn't going to cut it.

How much video do you recommend?
| Deja-vue 2003-08-06, 12:07 pm |
| I sold a few Videocards that only cost me about $27.99, 64 megs, not really great cards, but they will do with your P4.
You can pick up a cheap Geforce 440 MX with 64 megs for about $42.00.
It should do just fine. |
