| Have you ever got your hands on something like this , it sounds like the kind of thing you'd like. | |

| Nope, but it looks very promising.
I just ordered my Pioneer DVR-810H, which is a TiVo-DVD-Recorder, and with the Home-Media Option, it will do almost the same thing. It streams MP3's throughout the house, burns any captured program on to DVD-R and you can program it over the Internet.
It also has an 80 gig Harddrive, which i am planning to upgrade to something bigger soon.
Thanks for the link, we can always use links to new and upcoming technologies!

Looks a nice bit of kit, I doubt we'll get it here as TiVo still seems to be a dead duck at the moment.
I'd be interested in building something like the kit I linked to but always think that the EPG would be a bit of a stumbling block as I don't know how a normal bod can get hold of such things.
I recently won one of these in a raffle, it's yet to be made(about 7 days they say) but looks pretty good.
I'm pacing the floor in anticipation of it's arrival, I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas. | |
