Can someone tell me a solution to this problem?

I have multiple wireless access points on a single network. I have my laptop on the network and I am getting a strong signal from wireless access point A. I walk across the way and it starts getting weak, but and wirless access point B is strong, but it does not switch over to access point B until the connection to A is almost completely gone. Is there a way to get it to change before the connection gets so weak?
thanks

If we're talking about a small area, then you could try locking the client to 11Mbps. That way, once the signal gets weak enough with one AP, you'd disconnect from it and search for another.
