I bought both of cisco's press books on SECUR. The study guide is much thicker and more articulate than the thinly moduled certification guide. My question is, for on the job know how, is it better to study the thicker study guide rather than just going with the cert guide to pass the exam? I ask this because the study guide gets into more complex explanations and instructions like administering TACACS and RADIUS, along with further AAA instruction. And I figure thats what a company would demand of its technicians.

I read the sybex SECUR book and it was fantastic as far as the AAA commands go. BUt as for configuring RADIUS and TACACS, it was terrible! Did anyone pass using the sybex book?
