Hey all, I got my CSS1 one and a half years ago. I was told all i needed was to pass the Cisco Safe exam to get my CCSP. I remember there was a deadline to get it by a certain date last year. Now when i go to the certification tracker it say all i am lacking is Cisco Safe exam. It does not state a deadline. I was under the imppression that i had to redo all of the new exams. Can anyone confirm if i could apply the older exams toward my CCSP.
Thanks

I have the following completed:
CCNA
Cisco Secure PIX Firewall Advanced (9E0-571) **
Managing Cisco Network Security (640-442) **
Cisco Secure Virtual Private Networks (9E0-570) **
Intrusion Detection System with Policy Manager (9E0-572) **
CQS- Cisco Security Specialist 1

The information i posted was from cert tracker. I am wondering why there used to be a deadline but it doesnt seem to apply anymore. If i would of known this i would have already taken the safe test to complete CCSP.Oh well i am not one to complain just surprised I only have to take one versus taking all 5 tests.

Things change from time to time, you should take advantage of it.

I think your old exams are still valid (during 2 years).
perhaps you just need to take SAFE exam to have CCSP like now
