CCSP home Lab PIX suggestions?
|
|
|
| Hi,
I am looking into setting up a CCSP home lab for my studies. I have searched the forums for suggestions and found the following so far:
3002/3005 VPN Concentrator
4210 (4200) Series IDS
2600 with IOS F/W installed
What PIX should I go for that will be good enough to get me through the CCSP? Will I need 2 pix to simulate f/w to f/w vpns etc?
Thanks

| hard to say, I would suggest that you give a quick run through of the book to get an idea of its depth then procure the right equipment base on your budget...
at the minimum its a pic 501. then you can have an ios fw at the other end
but the exam covers fail over, multi interface dmz etc... you want to be super prep I suppose you can get 2 535 for your home lab... so imo the idea is to understand the technology, atleast those the books/exam want you to learn and try to find a way to meet those requirements, much like when the requirement from work and the budgets given are not on the same page... you have to make it work and everyone does it a bit differently. |
