| Hello guys,
I hope you CISCO gurus, can help me out with this. I'll write CISSP exam this coming March 20th, and I have just realized that my CCNA is EXPIRED soon which is 24th February 2004 ===> in about 3 weeks time.
Now, I know I would have to take either a CCNA recert exam or any exam that has 642- prefix. The problem is how can I pass any 642 exam within 3 weeks time frame? I have a strong background in security field, so I would like to ask you guys for an advice on this. Which 642 exam might be the EASIEST to tackle? I need to study for the one that talks alot more about security, rather than one that concentrates heavily on configuring Cisco commands/syntax. I have no problems with basic Cisco commands and such (CCNA stuff + strong knowledge of access control list)
Please help, my time is running out . Thank you very much for reading this message, and wish you guys all the best of luck (with whatever exams you guys are preparing for right now).
Azyuky

| Within that time frame, I feel that the test you take depends on your current familiarity with the devices tested and your background on those devices.
For instance, if you have a Cisco router background, I'd take the SECUR 642-501 test. If your background is Cisco PIX, take the CSPFA. If you have a VPN background, take CSVPN, etc, etc, etc.... |
