Hello everybody,

I have planned to pass the CSIDS exam this week, but 9E0-100 exam seems to be removed.
I need to pass the in beta test, but based on the official v.4.0 course.

Do you have some experience of the changes applied since the old exam ?

I have Boson and Real-Exams files, which are obsolete now.

Thanks for your help.

I studied both the 3.x and 4.x courseware and all related documents from Cisco's site. I studied Sybex, Syngress, and Cisco Press books. I took the CSIDS 4.0 beta twice. Failed #1, Passed #2. There was about 1 question from the 3.x material on both tests combined....I can tell you that the boson, testking, and others are not worth much when it comes to the using 3.x material to study for 4.x. One thing is MANDATORY if you're going to have a good shot at passing the 4.x exam - get the courseware. The answers are mostly there, and are not found in other places - I looked everything up, and found that the courseware was the best resource. It's 2 HUGE books full of more details than you'd ever want to see in one place. ;-) ...and did I mention...the test is all about details, details, details. There's almost no "general" technology questions. They'll give you a screenshot, not tell you where it's from (the application), then ask you what will happen when you right click something....or what will a certain click-box affect. what a nightmare. be ready, this test is mean.

You mention the courseware is the best source for info on this test... How does one get ahold of the courseware? Are you implying take one of the exam courses from a group like Ascolta or Global Knowledge?

either you have to take the course from a training partner or your company has to be authorized to buy the courseware - as an authorized training partner or sponsored organization

Thanks for the info! By the way, on the exam, do you need to know both CAT OS and IOS for the IDSM?

Thank you very much for your details. The price of the official CSIDS v.4.0 coursebook is about $ 500, but I have got a copy. Thanks to Devinator.
