| Took the test last week. Scored 803, damn!
I needed 860, errrr. I was suprised to see questions about Cisco Easy VPN, 'cause there really isn't that much info regarding Easy VPN in the MCNS book. Also, there were a few questions about RSA keys that I didn't expect to see.
I also used testking.com's .pdf/online testing to prepare.
Any tips? I need to retest before the end of Sept.
I also want to try and get the CSIDS before it is retired.

| if you took the cisco book, it's normal
mcns's topics change since 6 months
You must check the exam topics
they have replaced pix questions by CBAC, IDS, TCP intercept, Easy VPN , etc... | |

I've downloaded most of the PDF's in your previous post. All I can say is, wow.
I'll look those over and retest in another week or two.
If you passed the MCNS and have the same ultimate goal as me (CCSP), what cert are you currently working on and how are you prepin'?

| I try to pass the CSVPN
I have tried 1 month ago the 642-511 and failed
I realize that I was not enough prepared.
the new Cisco Book CSVPN is not enough.
some technical topics are not in the book...
this exam is the harder of the 3 (MCNS/CSPFA/CSVPN)
I've restart my learning with only cisco web site with this link http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products...devc/index.html
I've dl all pdf (VPN 3000/3002/Client, about 60Mo) and I go on  | |

Actually i am also preparing for vpn exam and was going to register for this week . I have new CSVPN book . I had checked the cisco website and had compared the exam topics of both , which are same . What do you suggest should i give old 9e0 exam ? Or should i give new 642 csvpn exam . Your suggestion in this matter will be helpful for me to pass the exam | |

I did mine with boson and cisco pec.
If you have access to it you find out that cisco pec labware are very usefu and make cisco exam easier. | |

| This book is not enough. I pass the exam 9E0-121 but a with a low score. I got questions no documented even in the cisco exam description. Questions about Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), The protocol used by the CRL Servers (LDAP/HTTP), Bandwidth Management (new in release 3.6.1), Diffie-Hellman Group 5 (DH5) (new in release 3.6.1), and more. | |

what study material did you use for CSVPN exam? what kinda simulation question did you get? any drop n drag questions? Is testking version 3.0 any good?

| I'm studyng for SECUR exam 642-501.
I purchased boson SECUR test #2, i notice that many question/answers are not covered by Lammle's book (VPN client, AVVID, security policies, CSACS structure and so on).
Is this test right for the exam??
