Dears,

I have more than 10 PIX FWs in my company network and I have a problem to monitor the cpu utilization. Because the PIX does not send a cpu utilization massege before it reaches 100%. my question is " Is there a way to configure threshold on the PIX cpu to send the cpu utilization before it reaches 100% ? like when it is 80%-90% to take an action before the problem happens.

The managemnt team doesn't want a solution like PIX device manager or FW manager.

I would suggest using SNMP and set your monitor to alarm you when the CPU usage hits a certain limit.

Use MRTG software, it can be used in windows OS as well as Unix/Linux

http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~oetiker/webtools/mrtg/

it is free!

Cheers
