| I passed the CCSP Cisco Secure PIX firewall Advanced and now heading for MCSN.
I used the Cisco press Self study guide for 9E0-111 and Syngress press online PDF guide.
I have a Cisco 501 and it helped a lot.
Questions include about FWSM, PDM and MC
Only one simulation and 3 drag and drop questions.
I spend a lot more time on Cisco web site to get information on FWSM, VPN and MC. I can't get the evaluation copy of MC so I relied on the information on cisco web site.
The one which is available runs only on NT!!

Both the PIX 9e0-111 (3.0) and 642-521 (3.1) exams are available. I am not sure which one I should take. I have studied the cisco press book and reading up on the AUS, MC & FWSM. I also have plans to purchase an exam from boson. Any recommendations?
Please advise.

I took PIX 9E0-111. Cisco Press book does not cover every thing for exam coz there are couple of questions which are not discussed in it. You should study MC, PDM and FWSM from Cisco Web site.
I found the e-book from Syngress more informative.
But I suggest that rather you buy the e-book its better to buy the exams from Test King. They can definetely help you.

| I took the new 642-521 and I do not think it was very differant from the old exam after having spoken to many people who took the older one.
Make sure you read about the PDM AUS and FWSM. |
