| For those who have taken this exam, can you recommend some study materials? I have read that this is similar to MCNS? Is that all I need to study? | |

| I did not give this exam yet but in this mostly they are asking about network security . You can see the course outline from cisco site and read old posts from here . I am sure you will get some good info plus i had heard vpn , mcns and ids info are included in this exam so becareful .

| I took the test and I think the white paper is a good starting point. The MCNS, PIX and VPN would all be good materials to review. This exam seems to kind of tie everything together and at times is more general security practices and threats. | |

| I took the exam today. Not very challenging but the questions are a bit tricky.
Read the SMR blueprint very well and memorize the Small, Midsize and Remote layouts (level2 and level3 switches, routers NIDS, servers, etc.) Remember treats and mitigation for every module. Also study the security products portfolio from Cisco (VPN concentrators, Pix, VPN routers, IDS, CSPM, VMS) and their capabilities and characteristics.
From MCNS study CBAC, Firewall and IDS IOS. Also Pix and IDS capabilities (lot of IDS in my exam).
Study how to configure a VPN on a Pix and a Router.

| Hi, I didn't use Boson, I saw the 12 questions from the demo version and 1 or 2 are very similar to the exam questions but don't know about the whole CSI Boson Test.
Passing score : 910
I think 640-100 (MCNS) it's harder than CSI.
My next exam will be CSPFA, next week.

| Well, I took the exam this morning and I PASSSSSEDDDDD! I got an 847. I mostly used the SAFE papers, BOSON and I reviewed all of the information I could find including the Cisco Press Books for VPN. CCSP hmmm. That sounds pretty good right now!!! | |
