Any one knows if IEV can be accessed through a web browser (same like ciscoworks2000) and what port is might use?
Thanks | |

| Hello mtoka ,
To use ids event viewer you have to enable it from the sensor first then use it through web browser . HTTPS or SSL is used to access IEV . On the browser type https://ids-ip-address , don,t put any port number . It will ask from you to accept the certificate and then you will enter user name and password .

| Thanks haseeb_eng, but what you are talking about is IDM (IDS Device Manager).
IEV (IDS Event Viewer) is installed on a PC (not the sensor). I would like to know if i can put the IP of that PC in a browser and access the IEV remotely.
Thanks | |

| I believe you have to download the event viewer, configure it and access it through the event viewer software. | |

During my search, I didn't come across any Cisco documentation that mentioned that, so I'm not sure if it is possible.
