Cisco Security exams - AAA clarification

Hi All,

I'm wrapping up my final prep on the SECUR exam and have a question regarding AAA command syntax. I've noticed in both cisco pubs and lammle's book that authorization and accounting commands may lack the default|list_name. Could someone explain the reason for this? I'm under the impression that "default" or a name was required.

Example Commands:

aaa authorization exec radius
aaa authorization network radius
aaa accounting network start-stop radius
aaa accounting exec start-stop radius
