Hello all, I am new to the board and have a couple of questions on the 2003 exams in the MCSA track.

1. What would be the best exam to start with? Go right into the core with 290 and 291? Or start with the OS 270 or 210.

2. Is there literature out for 290-291?

3. Since there I assume there isn't much literature for 290-291, if I decide to start with 270 or 210, which would be a better starting point. (this will be my first microsoft exam).

Right now I am going to go ahead and get my A+, but I dont expect that to take me too long. Once I am done with that, I will jump into the exam I am most steered towards here, so help me out

Since you are just getting started, go ahead and get to work on the core O/S (210 or 270). Make sure you get access to a couple of computers (networked) and work through it. You will be better prepared than if your first exam is 290 or 291.

Change of plans...I see now that A+ will be changing in November, so I am going to wait on that untill the new test comes out. That means I am will study for 70-270 or 70-210. I have a little home network to play with (3 computers) but they are all running windows 98. I guess it might be time to upgrade (not that I really want to because Win98 does everything I need it to do). Thanks for the reply.
