70-296 or 70-292, which to take first?

| I've just completed my MCSE Windows 2000, and I'm thinking about going straight on to getting a 2003 upgrade.
I know there are two exams to do this; 70-292 and 70-296, but I'm not sure which to take first. Also, if I pass one of these do I get an MCSA although I'm only MCSE at the moment?

| Take 70-292 first. That should give you MCSA 2003. | |

| I agree, from what I've read and been told, 292 is easier than 296 but will introduce you to some of the new features that 296 covers. | |

| So just to confirm... I'm not a Windows 2000 MCSA, but I am a 2000 MCSE. If I pass 70-292 I get the 2003 MCSA?
Then I just have to take 70-296 and get the full MCSE 2003?

| Yes, that's exactly what you have to do. I have already passed 292 to get MCSA and will be taking 296 tomorrow to hopefully get MCSE and be done with the whole thing for a couple of years... I have verified with my transcript that I am MCSA, so if you pass 292 and are MCSE 2K you will have it too. Good luck man! | |

| Great! I'll get started on that then, thanks for clearing that up!
After that I've got a CCNA to complete, so it never ends!

| No problem man, after this is done I've got two more for CCNP and one after that for CCDP... back to Cisco land after this is done |
