| Just got my invitation last night and signed up for the 18 Dec. Although VUE says it is suspended already and Prometric had few slots at the centers I tried (Well, what do you expect planning a Beta around the holidays?).
Beta Exam 71-281: Planning, Deploying, and Managing an Enterprise Project Management Solution
You are invited to Exam 71-281 in its beta version. When this exam is available to the general public it will cost $125 (the standard price of Microsoft certification exams) in the United States, but this beta exam is offered to you free. This beta exam will not be offered to the general public. A passing score on this beta exam counts as elective credit toward the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 certification.
Registration begins:
Wednesday, November 26th, 2003
Beta exam period runs: December 8th to January 2nd

| Not a clue, up to my eyeballs in 299 right now. This title looks like it is about deploying MS Project or project management in general. Check with the exam description, there should be a deployment guide for MS Project. | |

| Thanks MS Pepsi.
I am sched. for 1/1/04 (changed to 12/29, just realized what day this is, and the test center would probably cancel my appt.)...I will have to see how far I get in terms of preparing (probably looking over what you posted and maybe an installation) and see if it will be worth the time to sit for the test.
Good luck to all.
P.S. Is there are download of Project Server? All I found is Project Standard, and I have the client already. Thanks!

| I have the Project Management Professional certification, so if anyone has any questions concerning project management, feel free to ask.
I also have Project Server 2003, but I also have a dialup connection, so I'm afraid downloading it from me is not feasible. But if you don't get a chance to get a copy and there is anything you would like me to look up for you, just let me know.
I will post as soon as I do the exam.
Good luck all!!

| Had to reschedule because my test center was closed.
Exam is extended through 1/9/04
I am in for 1/6
Any info on a trial version of Project Server?

| Hey folks,
I also had to reschedule my exam. I am not booked for the 5th of January. I have looked for a trial version of Project Server, and all I found also was Project standard.
I will post as soon as I do the exam. A friend of mine took the exam and the following is his exam not to me:
85 questions
205 minutes
This exam had very few questions which actually referenced Project Management concepts. It was more directly geared towards managing Project Server 2003. The questions were very lengthy for the most part, three paragraphs in length on average. A great deal of the questions referenced integration with SQL Server 2000, and two with Exchange 2000.
Questions based on -
- Hardware requirements and errors based on inadequate hardware resources.
- Authentication scenarios using Windows authentication and/or Project Server authentication.
- SharePoint Services.
- Project Web Access.
- Active Directory Synchronization with Project Server.
- Using Project Views and OLAP cubes.
- I had a question on Project Server integration with Netware 5.1.
- I had two sort-and-order questions.
- IIS virtual roots
I hope this helps a bit for now.
