Can't write to DFS share on 2003 Server

Sorry but didn't know were else to go for help. Keep in mind that I have absolutley no knowledge of server Operating Systems. I am trying to move files to a share set up on the server from my windows 2000 client. I am able to browse and open files located on the server but when I try to copy or move files I get a "Access is denied" message. I am logged in as a domain user on the client computer. And I have added my domain user account to the ACL on the server directory. I don't know whats up.
