| Does anyone know of a 3rd party tool or MS add-in that allows Disk Quotas to be assigned to a group? Windows 2000 & 2003 only allow this to be set on a per user basis.
My goal is to have a Group that is restricted to X amount of disk space. For example, User 1, User 2, and User 3 are in a Group called Test. The total disk space utilized by Test is not to exceed 5GBs.
To clarify, the user does not get 5GBs, but the three users share 5GBs of space.
The ultimate purpose of this is to create folders for individual departments in a share, and have each Department limited to X amount of space on that volume.
It would also be beneficial if this tool could assign quotas based on group membership when home directories are implemented on another volume. For example, users in group A should have 1GB of space, while users in group B should be alloted 500MBs.
