| This thing is going to be intense. Im using the upgrade book from Microsoft ($63) 70-292, 70-296.. just gotta go over the clustering part, I expect this to be a brutal one. Anyone want to give any tips?

x1one101, drhixson and JohnnyBeGood are the few that I have seen post here that they have passed 296. Check for their posts for some insight. I just took 299 beta yesterday and 290, 291 and 297 betas previously. I have to say MS has turned it up a notch from any Windows 2000 test I have taken. Good Luck! | |

| Hi there,
I am not sure what you have studied about clustering but in this Exam they also cover a bit on NLB clusters as well as the clustering that we were all used to in Win2K Adv Serv.
The book you are using is very good.
Also if I gave one piece of advice, ... know security. Heaps on PKI, smart cards certificates etc.
Other than that you should be fine if you are a Win2K MCSE.

| I failed.
Resit is Thursday morning.
Well done to Microsoft for finally creating a challenging and relevant MCSE exam content.
My guy feeling is that I very narrowly failed. The exam reports only give you a pass or fail, so it is hard to tell where I went wrong.
Second half of the exam was easier than the first half. I do not know if this is an adaptive exam structure but it felt like it 
Good luck all and ill report back Thursday. Hopefully a little revision will get me through this one, if not its a 3rd retake in the new year! | |

| I havent even seen the enemy and im already stressing over the fact this is my only shot this month. If I fail, I look forward to the crappiest holiday I've ever had because I'll be studying all of it. I cant take another test until next year. I really need to pass this tomorrow. God this migrane is horrible..... 6 hours left... im not getting
any sleep... im hungry and W I D E awake. This is my last test.

| Way to get it the 2nd time like me. I agree the second one was a little easier but I think I narrowly failed the first one.

| I'm on the same track you are. I have read the 292/296 book for the 292 exam, and the 294 book for all of the AD stuff.
Those are pretty good tools in the box.
