Pass 70-296... Some info !

| Just pass this exam today. Just want to share some thought on the exam. I only used the MS-Press Upgrading book that was good for me and of course hand-on will be the best training. But i also doing a project work for my client, upgrading their NT4/Windows 2000 network to Windows 2003 for the past two month. So that definitly have impact for beating the exam !!
Some of the topic that come out as follow:
1. lots of DNS/BIND including you must know the new Win2003 DNS functions.
2. certicates enrolment
3. GPOs, gpupdate, gpresult and GPMC settings.
4. universal group membership caching and GC placement. you will have to pick location in the diagram for the placement.
5. system backup and restoring with data and system state.
6. DC restoration with/without OU
7. understant the different functional level
Those are the main topic that hit my exam. Since this exam is for MCSE 2000, i think you don't find it hard as long as you have the hand-on. But again that my opinon.
