| Hey guys/gals,
I have started preparations for my MCSE 2003 and I recently completed Windows XP Pro (70-270). I want to now take care of the Server exams for 2003.
#1) I am planning on buying this book pack
MCSE Self-Paced Training Kit: Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Core Requirements so could someone plz give some suggestions and also if I need any other extra material.
#2) What would be the best order to take the exams, such that 290 then 291 then 293 and 294 or it doesnt matter. Plus since 290, 291 & 293 are all related to networking in server 2003, how much of the material is different and how much is similar amongst those 3 tests.
I currently plan and hope to tackle 290, 291 & 293 before the year end.
Any suggestions and feedback appreciated.
Thanks,

| That certainly looks like a good value. As far as the exam order I don't see why not just go in the numerical order. There's no need to start beast rumors about the network exam yet, as from what I read, they are all equally beastly.
Make sure you refer to the volumes of material on the Microsoft site. Any book you choose should just be considered an outline to follow on your course of study. You will definitely want to do in depth research on various topics outside of the book. In general, MS Press books do a pretty good job of covering the material, but it always seems you need something more than what they put in the book. That could be said for a lot of publishers books, though. Best of luck. |
