Emergency Repair Disk?

| Hi,
How does one create an emergency repair disk under Server 2003? The methods used in NT 4 and 2000 don't work on server 2003, and I can't seem to find any Server 2003 documentation on how to do it. Can you even perform this function on Server 2003?
Cheers,

| Use good ole ntbackup GUI and you'll be on your way. It is called Automated System Recovery Wizard as Jeff alluded to. It will probably shock you the first time you do one. It did to me.

| So here's a question: When you make a Repair Disk in 2000, the registry also gets backed up to a regback folder in systemroot. This can be very handy for recovery scenarios. Does anyone know if this gets done in 2003 during ASR? | |

Not sure if this is what you mean jeff but here goes.
The registry is backed up to the backup file that you create. The ASR Floppy disk itself contains 2 files - asr.sif & asrpnp.sif. These 2 files are also copied to the systemroot\repair folder. If for some reason you lost the ASR floppy for the system then you can simply copy these 2 files onto another floppy. |
