| Have any of you done Isolating FTP Users in 2003 as yet. For some reason it's not working for the users. When I do it for anonymous user it works but for a user who tries to logon it says home folder Inaccessible.
Any of you who want to give it a try here

| I have had Exchange 2003 and OWA up on the internet for a while, but never got to FTP and only enough IIS to make OWA work. | |

| I have a 2k3 AD-Based FTP server up and running for about two months now. I isolate my FTP users with a separate user account (in AD), and through group policy.
Try that | |

| I think that Microsoft is trying to get the public to use BITS instead of FTP. I could see the benefit of an "XCOPY" type tool over a WAN/LAN network without port or firewall issues but......what about security? Hackers? Seems to me that they are going to have a field day with this.... | |

| BITS is an interesting concept but has holes in it so large that it is a nightmare waiting to happen. I don't find that it is a realistic FTP replacement, however it might be helpful for patch management should it become more secure in the future.
Cheers,
