OK im doing the exam now in 2 days (wish me luck ! ) but im just wondering what I can do increase me chances of passing im pretty confident but i dont want to be surprised in the exam

1) will they tell u are there mulitple answers to the question (ie choose all that apply)

2) gone over some testking pdf and tcats exam-wise (the latter seem better and harder) and im after learning the course through the peometetric Thomson learning course which seem good enough.I did it at home. Im getting around the 90 in most of the assesments

is this good enough!?

3) the score goes from 100 - 900 does that mean i get 100 from the start and i have a bit of a headstart as regards the exam!
754 is the pass so how many of the 90 can i afford to get wrong!, not that im going to get any wrong mind!

4) anything else!? just dont want to fork out the extra 250 yoyo's to repeat it

cheers for the help

1) CompTIA usually tells you how many answers they're looking for but sometimes you get the "Choose all that apply" questions.

2) practice exams can't really tell you whether you'll pass or fail. If you feel confident in your answers when taking those practice exams then you're probably ready.

3) You're allowed anywhere from 14-15 wrong answers and you'll still pass.

4) Good luck!

passed it today with a 884!

from what i was reading here i thought it would be much more tricky and more indepth but the test itself really is only a light sample of the material that is on offer, there were a few tricky questions but overall it was basic (i think anyway!)

anyway id recommened the testking pdf's
i though they would be too easy so i decided to get tcats pdf and examwise pdf with the later i used much more

but the testking pdf's are what the exam is like

Thomson online course is good but i feel doesnt test u on what u have learned but a good way to learn what is what

anyway roll on linux+ or does anybody recommend a cert that I should go for!?

I think A+ and network+ are ok but i feel i could be better spending my time doing something a little more advanced and varied

network+ especially would seem like a waste of time as i have a CCNA already

anyway thanks for the help and i would welcome any suggestions on what cert to do next

Ulto,
What version of testking did you study?
I'm preparing for Security+.
I have completed the testking pdf, and about to finish Sybex study guide.

Is testking good enough for practice questions or Tcat is a must?

Thanks

What do you think is the percentage of candidates who actually pass without cheating?

If you want a true Linux cert consider LPI or RHCE if you work with Red Hat and have the money. Personally I think LPI is a bit more useful as it's more of a general Linux cert.

testking version 8 is the one i was using and is the latest one i think

to smrkdown are u implying that i cheated my way to that score!

I studied my A$$ off for it, was up to five in the morining the day before to make sure i passed it

went over FIVE different resources, so are u implying that i cheated and how?

Or are u just jealous??

jealous.. hahahaha
That was really funny. I would have ignored the post but the last line you wrote, made me reply.
why would i be jealous of you or anybody for that matter, on passing a cert.?
Don't be kiddish!
I never said you cheated, you only brought that thing up which makes me think that way.
Anyway it's good that you studied for it hard and passed it
Well I don't really care if you cheated or not, why should I anyway?
I just asked a simple question, which anybody who is preparing for the test would wanna know from someone who passed the test, and that is how you prepared.
The forum is here to help people from each others' experiences.

Why would I be jealous of you for getting a certification that I don't care to have? Lets not make this a pissing contest. If you had studied like you should have, then you wouldn't have needed to cheat and use braindumps. Idiot.

I didnt use braindumps unless testking pdf's are braindumps are they??

U tell me
One persons study material is another persons braindump/cheatsheets, is that the way it is!

oh and enough of the name calling u just make yourself look bad

I'm not sure what looks bad to you, but what looks bad to me is someone who cheats on an IT exam using one of the most popular and well-known braindump cheat- sheets in existance and tries to play it off as legitimate. Can you get any more pathetic?

well your the first on this site im after coming across that says testking = braindump

heard nothing bad about them from others, even the mod of this forum asked for a copy of them, so maybe the problem is you and to be honest i dont give two flying fcuk$ what you think
