As a matter of interest I would love to have a look at that guide to compare it against the wide range I have read, but no-way would I post an email address around here. Did that in the dot com format when I first joined this place and suddenly I have spam on an address I never used anywhere else ... lol | |

| I was very hesitant to post it so I used a Hotmail address I set up just for this purpose. If start getting spammed, I can set the settings to accept mail only from addresses in my address book, so I'm not worried about it.

| Hello Tcat,
Understood and agreed upon. Upon reflection, you are right 100% and I apologize. I highly respect your technical expertise as well as your request. I can not find that particular guide at the same site but have however posted the link anyway.
The freebie guide pales in comparison than the quality resource you have put out. Honestly the $20.00 spent on the full Sec+ Tcat version was money weeeelllll spent.
I do not want to step on your toes and will end this thread here and leave it as a security forum only.

| Dude, as a "data whore" I don't believe there can be "too much data" and considering what the test costs! ... Any resource is welcome ... My core PDF file is out on the Internet for free. I am no longer selling the PDF (700 page) direct :-( I didn't see enough to pay for electric and ISP bills...
I certainly welcome other offerings and free is a great price! :-)

Here's the deal... The big PDF has gone through mondo changes and is in the middle of a 2004 update (the 6th! version since 2002) ...
Helen is out :-/ She has a super secret gig with a company in Redmond and is full time+. Something to do with the code name of something called Longhorn  And it would be her butt to do or talk about anything to with or without a certain species of bull outside of work.
So while I am very happy for her, from the standpoint of SY0-00x she is dead. Ms. Angella can be of limited help with French (she is back in school on a part-time basis -- and with 3 children...) Call that hands full.
I'm busting butt on still photos and other video for A+ but that is winding down... So our discussion on SY0-00x is quite workable... Server+ ... The magic 8 ball says: "Maybe" Waiting for some hard questions to be answered before committing...
Moving both WA and CA "settlements" for me in the next 4 months :-( East coast is still stable.

The exam price for A+ is different than the rest of the CompTIA exams. It's always been like that as far as I can remember. I gues they do that because nearly everyone wants to take that A+. 
According to CompTIA.org:
A+ will cost $145 USD per exam (there are two exams.)
All other CompTIA exams (eg: Network+, Security+) are $225 USD. | |
