There are some things I find lacking in almost all of the material I have seen for Security+. Perhaps they don't relate directly to the test, but I think it should be in there. One is to always test your backup. An untested backup should in my opinion have a different name altogether, it is not a real backup. Another thing is dual key pairs; one for signing and one for encryption/decryption. Most docs get this wrong and go off on a tangent about how you need a pair of keys and these must be managed somehow. Finally, licenses. Now that your server may actually stop working if the license isn't properly verified by the vendor via Internett, or if there is a bug in this licensing process, licensing actually becomes part of the business continuity plan.

As I said, none of these belong to the cert test, but I still find these omissions annoying.
