| I got the e-mail that I need to get certified with the 5200 two weeks ago. Will do as soon as I get the time. | |

| Congrats on passing btw what study resources did you find most helpful when preparing for this exam and is it as hard as others have made it out to be?
Talk to later, best of luck!!

| Honestly, I would recommend the Syngress book (minus the dvd) and the CBT nuggets series. TCat's PDF also re-enforced a lot of what the previous 2 covered. I also skimmed the Microsoft Security+ book but it was way too dry. I think I only read about 4 chapters of it but the tests on the CD were good.
Regarding how hard it is, it's a little different then the other tests I've taken. The wording leaves a lot to be desired. On many questions, there were 2 possible answers and it was up to you to decide what the author of the question was actually thinking. All in all, not a bad test (at least not the version I got). Good Luck!

| Thanks for the info!! I got the Syngress book it looks quite good but I'm not intending on doing the exam right away I'll concentrate on some other certs first before moving on to the Security+. Talk to you later, take and have a blast wherever and whatever your doing | |

| Was it hard? Is it useful in the market place? | |

| Congrats on your pass. The syngress book is the best. Nothing can beat it. | |

| Honestly, I don't think it was extremely hard. As far as it's usefulness in the marketplace, it really isn't. Like most of the other certs (especially in this day and age), it might help you beat out someone without it if you're looking for a job. From the articles I've read, this is just a good stepping stone towards other security certs. Just gives you the basic knowledge and not really how to implement it. |
