Never used forums before, wish I had done now !! Took exam this morning and failed with 724.

Have to agree with the comments made in previous threads, wording is awful. Some questions will just through you right off e.g had one to do with MAC, had four options ruled out one left with three lattice, bell la padula and BIBA. It ask which was associated with MAC, as far as my studies are concerned they all are !!!

Digital Certificates popped up alot, maybe that was my weakness ! as a tip Know your Ports !! and how many there are !!

Main reason for failing..........lack of study and preparation !!

I feel your pain, Mrjazzy. My first attempt was just shy of a pass also. I aced it the second time after intense additional study.

Get Tcat's Security+ PDF. It should fill in the holes.

MrJazzy...

Tcat's Security+ e-book should help you a lot. That material forms the contents of the CertiGuide to Security+, now available for online use for free. See my signature for the link. --c

... and make sure your pop up blocker is up

To the original poster: don't feel bad! You got really close on what you admit was less than desirable preparation. Imagine how well you will do when you are actually prepared

I am well aware of that issue as you can imagine, running as many sites as I do... but I am sure that if you look, you'll find better ways to leverage your site. And I mean that in a friendly, fellow webmaster way

You mean there are still people who don't block pop-ups?

Well that's basically the thing. People who hate pop-ups block them, other people seem not to care that much, and that's what makes it possible to offer high quality content online without charge. --c
